Please see instructions below for all of our wood products requiring special care.
Your wood cutting board will last forever and will be your most beloved kitchen item if you keep it hydrated. Please follow the instructions below.
1.Clean your wood cutting board. After each use, clean your cutting board with mild soapy water or for a deep clean us a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water. Let it stand upright to dry.
2.Oil your wood cutting board. After the board is clean and completely dry (approx 24 hours), spray your cutting board with our  food-grade mineral oil with lemon essential oil (you can also use coconut oil). Make sure you get in between those letters! We do not recommend using any oil made of vegetable or animal fat as these oils may go rancid.Â
3.Let it soak. Let the food-grade mineral oil soak in as long as possible (overnight is best) and wipe off excess with a lint-free cloth.
4.Repeat. You should repeat these steps when the cutting board feels dry. More often in the beginning and less often over time.
5.Restore. Return your cutting board to its original finish by hand-sanding the surface with 320 grit sand paper. Wipe off with damp cloth then follow instructions from step #2.
Â
Our Meat boards will arrive to you finished with a beeswax/mineral oil coating. This gives the board a thin seal of wax which protects the surface from water penetration. When the board looks or feels dry  follow the care instructions above for wood cutting boards. You can use food-grade mineral oil, butcher block paste or conditioner with beeswax to condition the board.
DO NOT put in the dishwasher. DO NOT let your meat board sit in water.
A lazy susan purchased from our website has either a finish that is food-safe or finish that isnot food-safe. A lazy susan purchased from one of our distributors will always ship with a food-safe finish.
If it is food-safe it has a coating of mineral oil and beeswax. The beeswax provides a thin barrier to the wood but will start to wear off with each use. After each use just wipe down with a damp cloth. When your lazy susan looks dry apply food-safe mineral oil or butcher block oil. It is best not to get the hardware on the bottom wet.
A personalized lazy susan that is not food-safe means that it has a poly coating, you should not cut on the surface. Just wipe down with a damp cloth as needed. There is no other maintenance.
DO NOT put in the dishwasher. DO NOT let your Lazy Susan sit in water.
The care instructions for our trivets are the same as the wood cutting board instructions above.

You can use our Wood Cutting Board oil for all wood Kitchenware.
