Need help customizing your board? We’re available to answer any questions you have!
Production times are generally 7-10 business days but can vary depending on the level of customization and the time of year. During holiday season, allowing extra time is always recommended. If you need it sooner, please email us at kim@wordswithboards.com
We do not provide proofs unless the board has special design features, such as custom messaging or logos not shown on the web site.
Personalized cutting boards are one of the most thoughtful wedding gifts because they are both practical and sentimental. Couples use them for entertaining, meal preparation, and creating memories together in their new home.
Handcrafted cutting boards are made with attention to detail, quality materials, and skilled craftsmanship. Each piece is unique, and the personalization transforms it from a kitchen tool into a meaningful gift that celebrates life's special moments.
Hand wash your board with warm water and mild soap, then prop it up so that it dries on all sides (you can also set it on a cookie rack to elevate it from the counter allowing for good air flow). Avoid soaking it in water. Periodically applying food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner will help maintain its beauty and prevent the wood from drying out.
The large board holds up to 12 letters, not counting spaces. Most people use two first names with an ampersand, but a last name, nickname, or short saying works too. Not sure your names will fit? Email or text us before you order and we'll help you find a layout that looks great.
Yes! High-quality wooden cutting boards are safe for food prep when properly cared for. We think they really shine when used as a charcuterie board. Personalized cutting boards can be both functional and meaningful, making them a gift that is enjoyed for years to come.
