Cherry Wood Spreaders, Tongs, and Pie Servers Made in the USA

A great gift for the friend who bakes for every party, the host who always puts out a cheese board, or anyone ready to swap plastic for something that feels better in the hand. These wooden kitchen utensils are made in the USA from cherry. Their warm color looks right at home on a breakfast table or next to a wedge of brie. Pick one as a small add-on, or bundle a few into a hostess or housewarming gift.

Why These Wooden Kitchen Utensils Are So Lovable

  • There’s a tool for every spread: a medium spreader for soft cheese, a nut butter spreader, a peanut butter spreader with a serrated edge, a marmalade spoon, and a honey stick.
  • The fluted pie server comes plain or laser engraved in our Baltimore woodshop with one of three sayings: Yum!, In Pie We Crust, or You Want a Piece of Me?
  • The tongs come in two sizes, for tossing a salad or serving from a platter.
  • Wood is gentle on nonstick pans and your good serving dishes, so there’s no scratching or scraping.

Wood simply makes a nicer utensil than plastic. It won’t melt if the tongs rest against a warm pan, and it feels solid and warm in your hand instead of light and hollow. Plastic tools tend to warp, stain, and end up in the trash after a few years. Cherry deepens to a richer color over time. A quick hand wash, plus a little food-grade mineral oil when the wood looks dry, keeps it going for years.

Bake a pie for the party, carry it in with the pie server, and leave the server behind with the host. It’s still one of our favorite ways to give these. The spreaders earn their spot on a cheese board, and the honey stick and marmalade spoon make a slow Sunday breakfast feel a little more special.

Customers add them to gift baskets and bring them as hostess and housewarming gifts. One customer paired a peanut butter spreader with an anniversary board, and it’s been making PB&J sandwiches for the little ones ever since. If you’d like something more playful, our unique shaped wooden utensils come in heart, cat, and leaf shapes. The medium spreader also pairs perfectly with our cheese board.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the different wooden kitchen utensils used for?

Spreaders are for soft cheese, butter, jam, and nut butters. A honey stick drizzles honey over toast or into tea, a marmalade spoon scoops from the jar, tongs toss salads and serve from a platter, and a pie server lifts out a clean slice.

Are wooden utensils better than plastic?

Wood won't melt near a hot pan, it's gentle on nonstick cookware and serving dishes, and with a little oil now and then it lasts for years. Plastic tends to warp and stain over time.

What wood are the wooden kitchen utensils made of?

They're made from cherry wood in the USA. Like any natural wood, each piece has its own grain and color, so no two look exactly alike.

Can wooden kitchen tools go in the dishwasher?

No. The heat and standing water in a dishwasher can crack or warp wood. Wipe it with a damp cloth when needed, let it dry fully, and rub in a little oil if the wood starts to look dry. The Care tab on each product page lists the oil we recommend for that piece.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 1–2 business days after they're ready. Personalized and made-to-order items are made first, and the Shipping tab on each product page lists that production time.

Once we generate a shipping label, you'll get a confirmation email with a tracking number. It can take up to 24 hours for the carrier to start updating tracking information, so don't worry if it shows nothing right away.

Sending this as a gift? We never include pricing on the packing slip — so it's safe to ship directly to the recipient.
