Bamboo Cutting Board

A Bamboo cutting board is sustainable and is a type of grass not a wood. Choosing a sustainable material for our boards is a priority at Words with Boards. So, why not offer this choice you may wonder. Well, the answer is simple, we don't like cutting on bamboo!

The feel of the knife hitting the bamboo doesn't sound or feel right to us. It is a very hard surface, 15% harder than maple, so it's not as kind on your knives. They also tend to be thinner, which has its benefits, but it will move around more when chopping.

Bamboo is less expensive so this is a good choice for many. It is up to you to determine your preference.
