A Round Gluten Free Chopping Board with the Words Cut Right In

A great gift for the person who has celiac disease who is tired of asking what touched what. This round gluten free cutting board has the words GLUTEN FREE hand cut out of the top, so the label can't peel, fade, or go missing. Set it on the counter or the buffet and everyone knows which board is off limits to regular bread and crackers.

Why This Round Gluten Free Cutting Board Is So Lovable

  • The words GLUTEN FREE are cut out of the top of the board, so you can read them from across the kitchen, even when the board is full.
  • The round shape was made for serving. Pile it with cheese and gluten free crackers, smoked salmon and vegetables, a gluten free pizza, or a loaf of gluten free bread.
  • Add rubber feet to keep it steady while you slice and to lift it off the counter so it dries evenly.
  • It's a working cutting board, too: butcher block made from sustainably forested American hardwood, ready for chopping as well as serving.
  • Choose maple, which is light and bright, or cherry, which warms to a deeper red over time.

In a shared kitchen, the hard part of eating gluten free is usually everybody else. It's the toast crumbs, the knife that just cut a sandwich, the well-meaning guest who sets the regular crackers down next to the safe ones. A board that says what it's for takes the guessing out of it. Kids, houseguests, and in-laws can all read it, and the person who has to be careful gets to relax a little at their own table.

Each board is made in our Hampden studio in Baltimore. The letters are cut by hand with a scroll saw, one at a time, then sanded smooth by one of our artisans. A dedicated board is one part of a gluten free kitchen, not the whole plan, but it's the part everyone can see.

Customers give our gluten free boards to a family member who was just diagnosed, to the friend who loves to cook, and to themselves, for the kitchen they share with people who eat everything. We plant a tree in the U.S. for every board we sell. Want their name on it? See the personalized round gluten free board, or browse all of our gluten free gifts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a separate cutting board for gluten free food?

Crumbs and residue from bread, crackers, and other foods with gluten can end up on a shared board and transfer to the next thing cut on it. Many households that cook both ways keep one board just for gluten free food and never use it for anything else. A clearly marked board makes that easy for family and guests to follow. For medical guidance, check with your doctor or dietitian.

Are wooden cutting boards more sanitary than plastic ones?

Research has shown that hardwood cutting boards can be a safe option for food preparation when cleaned properly. Regular washing and allowing the board to dry thoroughly between uses are important regardless of the material.

How do I care for a wooden cutting board?

Hand wash your board with warm water and mild soap, then prop it up so that it dries on all sides (you can also set it on a cookie rack to elevate it from the counter allowing for good air flow). Avoid soaking it in water. Periodically applying food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner will help maintain its beauty and prevent the wood from drying out.

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 1–2 business days after they're ready. Personalized and made-to-order items are made first, and the Shipping tab on each product page lists that production time.

Once we generate a shipping label, you'll get a confirmation email with a tracking number. It can take up to 24 hours for the carrier to start updating tracking information, so don't worry if it shows nothing right away.

Sending this as a gift? We never include pricing on the packing slip — so it's safe to ship directly to the recipient.

What happens if I'm not happy with my order?

We unconditionally guarantee every gift we make. If something arrives that doesn't live up to your expectations — a defect, damage in transit, anything that isn't right — contact us and we'll make it right by sending a replacement.

We've been doing this since 2013, and we'd rather you tell us when something's wrong than walk away unhappy. Email kim@wordswithboards.com or use our contact page and we'll take care of you.
