Every board starts as sustainably forested American hardwood in our Hampden studio in Baltimore. The letters are cut by hand with a scroll saw, one at a time, then sanded smooth by one of our artisans. Choose the wood that suits them: maple is light and bright and goes with everything, cherry warms to a deeper red over time, and walnut is rich and dramatic.

Two first names make it a wedding or engagement gift. A family name, or the name they've given the house, makes it a housewarming gift. A single word works just as well. Make It Yours

Add up to 12 letters: two first names, a family name, a nickname, or a short saying, then choose Classic or Script lettering. Want to mark the day? Add a laser-engraved date, like a wedding date, an anniversary, or the day they moved in.
