Each board starts as sustainably harvested hard maple in our Hampden woodshop in Baltimore. The letters are cut by hand with a scroll saw, one at a time, then the board is sanded smooth by one of our artisans. No shortcuts. Maple is light and bright, so it looks at home on any bar, and it's a hardwood that's gentle on knives.

What is a bar board?
A bar board is a small cutting board that lives at the bar instead of in the kitchen. It's sized for slicing limes, lemons, and oranges and prepping garnishes, so you don't have to pull out a full-size board to make a drink. It also works as a little serving board for cheese or snacks.
What size should a bar cutting board be?
Small enough to stay out on the bar or bar cart, and big enough to halve a lemon or slice a lime into wheels. A bar cutting board is much smaller than a kitchen cutting board. The Details tab on each product page lists the exact measurements.
How do I care for a wooden cutting board?
Hand wash your board with warm water and mild soap, then prop it up so that it dries on all sides (you can also set it on a cookie rack to elevate it from the counter allowing for good air flow). Avoid soaking it in water. Periodically applying food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner will help maintain its beauty and prevent the wood from drying out.
When will my order ship?
Most orders ship within 1–2 business days after they're ready. Personalized and made-to-order items are made first, and the Shipping tab on each product page lists that production time.
Once we generate a shipping label, you'll get a confirmation email with a tracking number. It can take up to 24 hours for the carrier to start updating tracking information, so don't worry if it shows nothing right away.
