Every board starts as sustainably forested American hardwood in our Hampden studio in Baltimore. The name is cut by hand with a scroll saw, letter by letter, then sanded smooth by one of our artisans. Each wood has its own personality: maple is light and bright, cherry warms to a deeper red over time, and walnut is rich and dramatic.

How do I care for a wooden cutting board?
Hand wash your board with warm water and mild soap, then prop it up so that it dries on all sides (you can also set it on a cookie rack to elevate it from the counter allowing for good air flow). Avoid soaking it in water. Periodically applying food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner will help maintain its beauty and prevent the wood from drying out.
