Need help customizing your board? We’re available to answer any questions you have!
It's one of the easiest gifts to bring to a host. Customers give it as a hostess gift, a housewarming gift, and a present for the friend who's always the one entertaining. It's a working cutting board and a serving board in one, so it gets used long after the party.
This design comes as shown, without personalization. If you'd like names or your own words, take a look at our personalized cutting boards, or email kim@wordswithboards.com about a custom project.
Hand wash your board with warm water and mild soap, then prop it up so that it dries on all sides (you can also set it on a cookie rack to elevate it from the counter allowing for good air flow). Avoid soaking it in water. Periodically applying food-safe mineral oil or board conditioner will help maintain its beauty and prevent the wood from drying out.
Most orders ship within 1–2 business days after they're ready. Personalized and made-to-order items are made first, and the Shipping tab on each product page lists that production time.
Once we generate a shipping label, you'll get a confirmation email with a tracking number. It can take up to 24 hours for the carrier to start updating tracking information, so don't worry if it shows nothing right away.
Sending this as a gift? We never include pricing on the packing slip — so it's safe to ship directly to the recipient.
We unconditionally guarantee every gift we make. If something arrives that doesn't live up to your expectations — a defect, damage in transit, anything that isn't right — contact us and we'll make it right by sending a replacement.
We've been doing this since 2013, and we'd rather you tell us when something's wrong than walk away unhappy. Email kim@wordswithboards.com or use our contact page and we'll take care of you.
We believe made in America matters — for the hands that make it, the economy we support, and the planet we all share.
In our Hampden woodshop, our artisans cut, sand, and finish our boards and lazy susans by hand, whether the words are hand-cut on a scroll saw or engraved in our studio. No shortcuts. Ever.
We use sustainably forested American hardwoods, and for every cutting board we sell, a tree gets planted right here in the U.S.
