Every board starts as sustainably forested American hardwood in our Hampden studio in Baltimore. The names are cut by hand with a scroll saw, letter by letter, then sanded smooth by one of our artisans — no shortcuts. You choose the wood, and each one has its own personality: maple is light and bright, cherry warms to a deeper red over time, and walnut is rich and dramatic.
