Proudly Made in America

We believe made in America matters — for the hands that make it, the economy we support, and the planet we all share.

Inside Our Baltimore Woodshop

In our Hampden woodshop, our artisans cut, sand, and finish our boards and lazy susans by hand, whether the words are hand-cut on a scroll saw or engraved in our studio. No shortcuts. Ever.

A man wearing a white t-shirt, khaki pants, and blue gardening gloves kneels on grass while planting a small green pine sapling in a garden bed.

One Board, One Tree

We use sustainably forested American hardwoods, and for every wooden piece we sell, a tree gets planted right here in the U.S.

Leaf shape with monogram

I absolutely LOVE this board!! It is the perfect shape and size to easily move from my island to my countertop. The rubber feet are perfect for cutting anything with confidence that your board isn't going to slip and slide. I use it as my every day board and it's so pretty there is no need to stack it in the corner board rack, it's also kitchen art when not in use!! Daily cutting, chopping, charcuterie, art piece....this board is perfect!!!! You will not be disappointed if you order this utilitarian board! The initial is an added bonus!

Perfection and unique!!!

I've gotten many gifts from Words with boards through out the years from Christmas to weddings to house warmings or anything in between. I have always been extremely satisfied with all their products and designs. The leaf shape with monogram was perfect for my sisters new summer house as she is a big bread maker and loves to do appetizers on the deck. She loved the simplicity of the initial and displays it proudly on her bakers rack in her kitchen. It's the perfect size whether one wants to load it up or just create a small display of bread and dipping oils. There are so many uses and the shape is so unique that one will not see it anywhere else. I'm so glad that Kim and her husband are always trying to create other items and designs. I have an oval with my initial displayed in my kitchen, I love it so much I don't want to use it but I'm sure I will at some point!! Also, the quality is great!!! A lot of TLC goes into these products!! Thanks Kim.
